Back to the grindstone -

So after a great weekend, its back to the salt mines --- why cant I just go riding instead ? I know somewhere there is a job that would allow me to ride all the time and get paid for doing it. Why cant I find that job ?

I can go through this corner pictured pretty quickly, why cna I do that ?

Ill tell you why I cant be a pro roacer - Im 6`2" and weight 220lbs. that why ! Darn genetics ! Seems all the pros are about 5 foot nothing and weigh about 140 lbs. with thier gear on - It not fair I tell ya ! Guess Ill just have to continue doing trackdays - oh well ---

All in all I shouldnt complain, Ive gotten to hang out and do cushy stuff for the last 3 mnths whil the old fractures healed - speaking of which, the up coming tuedsay I get to have the pin removed form my clavicle, exciting stuff ! That means after another mnth. i this cursed sling I will get to undergo torture, err - physical therapy ( Sorry Stephanie, your the best PT ever, and I mean it ) and then get to ride again !Its been over 3 mnths. since Ive gotten to ride - and you can tell, Im very grumpy - just ask anybody who has been arond during the past few weeks or so - very grumpy indeed ! I can not wait to get this last bit of surgery out of the way, it will be awesome just to be able to pick stuff up with my rt. hand again, to be able to sleep on my rt.. side , to be able to ride eith my motorcycle of bicycle and to get back into the gym.One doesnt really think about how much the clavicle does , it does alot - like everytime yo umove, it moves and such - this link shows an injury much like mine in image #5 http://www.emedicine.com/emerg/topic190.htm#target1 - so next tuesday Ill be free ! Wish me luck !

As for this weekend, I got some tickets to the races @ Road Atlanta, so, me and the 2 bosses will be leaving for the track on friday evening . All 4 of the AMA championship are on the line, so another great weeknd of racing is in store !

This weekend !

What a great weekend ! Got to see some awesome races, saw some great friends ( Shout out to Jose, Johnny,Steve , Chris and his dad and Baron Von Furman ), the weather held out, and just genreally had a good time ! We ( Amy, Allon and Donna, A.K.A - Iron Butt, rode her R6 the 440 miles over then up to the track - yep on a R6 ! ) went up to the track on friday and walked aound looking at stuff and meeting people - Greg White ( awesome guy, super cool - voted for Pedro ! ) and Kevin Schwantz ( didnt know who Pedro is, but we fixed that - gave him a copy of Nap. Dyna. on saturday , hehe ! ) anongst others. The races were good - except the superbike races - stupid Matt Maladin and his dominating riding - the 600 superspport race was the best of the weekend - Roger Hayden barely won over his brother Tommy ( margin of victory was something like 0.002 seconds ! ) with Jason Di Salvo fishing third - I dint get to ride due to the injuries, good thin Kevin Schwantz( see above picture ) fussed at me for even thinking about it - guess he should know a thing of two about listening to doctors, he retired from racing due to having several bones removed from his wrists from wrecking his RG500 Gama while racing in the GPs in the early 90s.What a cool guy ! Anyway, if youve never been to VIR, you need to ! Its a great track with good people working there ! Enjoy the pics !

More random stuff

During the process of moving, Ive discoved some things.
1 - I have too much crap. I found some old motorcycle parts that I havent seen in a decade if its bee a day.Not to mention my growing cycle magazine collection. if you ever need a cycle news from 1995, I got you covered, whats that, you need a Motor-cyclist magazine from 1994 with the 600 supersports models - got you there as well -
2 - Moving while recooperating is a really bad idea for a couple of reasons. One, you cant help - you must sit and watch everyone else do everything. Two, whne you do find somthing you can move, everyone yells at you and tells you to leave it alone.
3- You really do get to find who your friends are - anyone who will give up a great , sunny saturday to help your damaged self move is a true friend. That being said, thanks to the suckers, er -friends who helped to pull it off.
4- Do everything in your power to not break a collarbone and or ribs - it really, really sucks !

Anywho, this weekend looks to be promising, its the AMA weekend @ VIR - ahh, a weeknd of nothing but races and race like activity. Oh how I look forward to it - not to mention Ive suckered some Cookvillians into making the 440 mile trip over , hehehe ! Ill make sure to post some cool pictures as they are taken , so check back to see what went down.

Oh yeah, just incase you are wondering, the picture above was taken @ Barbers Motorsports park in Birmingham Al. Its a really cool place, the track rocks ( very challenging, lots of blind corners, and a great fast transition - like 4th gear @ redline on the Buell with your knee scraping the inner apron ! good times ! ), the facitlties are super nice, there are all kinds of interesting sculptures scattered around and there the awesome museum ( no, I havent been in yet, but, will get to soon. ).

Peace out !

Testing ------

Well, first post, it had better be something good right ? Wrong - Im not the clever type, nope, nothing whitty or clever here . - Hopefully , I will be able to post somthing informative or entertaing however.

What to tell everyone about, hmmm - Lets see, Im about 3 weeks away from opening a bike shop ( should be real cool, Ive got a good buddy working on a web site, check back for more info ), Im recooperating from an accident that happened about 3 months ago ( feels like forever ), and Im super excited about getting to go to some races this weekend @ VIR - Ill make sure to post some choice pics ! Anyway, thank for looking, hopefully I will be able to share more as I get it .
